One of the cooling things I've seen was at a little bar in Nashville.

An old guy walked into the bar. His wife went to the back and got a couple drinks. When the next set started the 70 yo guy got up on stage with his trombone. The band said this is so and so from Florida and he'd like to sit in for a couple songs. Completely random as far as I could tell. To say the old guy jammed was an understatement. The band gave him a chance to solo and just stood back and listened in awe. We were all in awe! The look on his face after the set let us all know his year was made.

Nashville's got tons of shlt hole bars turning out incredible music 7 nights a week. That town doesn't get enough credit for its sound quality.
