My cousin was working in Germany for the US Military as a teacher. Met and fell in love with a very nice Kiwi girl (New Zealand). They married, had kids and so on.
After 8-10 years she went a bit "round the bend" and went on a Greenpeace cruise. Had an affair on the boat and when she returned home Ken kicked her azz out of the house. Filed for divorce and custody of the kids and the court gave him almost everything.
He is still living in New Zealand and loves it there. No plans what so ever to return to America but he returns to visit every couple of years. Says that she is still "not normal" but in her own little world... Seems that these "do gooders" are in many cases just "not right" but in their own little world.
