Ditto Uwanna.....
I go way back with Joe when he was just off Buford Highway and his yard was smaller, but still a popular place to buy. Malcolm and David ruled the counter back then and were very helpful. I remember when I had my 944, these guys let me wonder the yard with a few tools and a shoe box and here I was plucking switches, bulbs, knobs, a fitting here and a small part there and gave me a price per box! Parts by the pound! Great deals, real life savers back then. When Joe moved up to Dahlonega he lost a few good folks due to the commute I guess but carried on with a killer parts inventory. Its correct to say that doing business in person was the better way to go with them, plus the ride up north on a saturday was beautiful. In my many years (decades) of dealing with these guys my experiences have been positive. I can see him retiring, he has been in the business since the 70's I believe. Hell of a race car driver with an impressive record to boot too. It has been disheartening to read about problems with Joe from others, but my experiences were indeed positive.
