I have a 2000 xl 1200 Yamaha. When mine wouldnt start I did the online search at Riva Motorsports. I looked of corrosion, I took apart the switch, but turns out that the starter relay went bad. $58.00 bucks at iboats.com fixed her right up.
Riva and the dealer wanted 130.00 plus shipping for the relay.

Another time my charged battery wouldnt start her, turns out I had enough volts, but the load test showed, no amps..Had to buy a new battery...
Kills my back to leaning over them too !!!!!
I'll be riding in Laughlin this weekend, cant wait !!!
