A long time ago I was told by a wise man whom I trust that you should assume a seller's real price is 80% of their asking price and your first offer should be 75%. While that's not a scientific formula or anything, if you apply it here, that's a $65,000 car. I find that more realistic, especially in a flat recession bound market.
