My dad had a tumor removed from his small intestine at the same time 10 pounds of a 20 pound mass was removed. The surgery was supposed to be 6 hours, when they opened him up and because of his weak heart the surgery was only 2 hours. He also has stage 4 cancer on all his digestive organs. The repair of his small intestine started to leak 2 days after the surgery. His temp spiked to 103, he was in intensive care for 2 days. Now the most serious thing is an infection in his blood, its a yeasty sticky substance that is now causing problems with his heart valve. We are also dealing with his kidneys which are not that great. Day 21, off to the hospital
