Oh, and all of those who think that this project is some new 'thinking outside of the box' consider this;

On July 7, 1981, the "Solar Challenger" aircraft flew 163 miles from Paris to England with pilot Stephen Ptacek at the controls. (5 hours and 23 minutes)

btw, has their slow plane even gone as far as the Solar Challenger did almost three decades ago?
