I'm an EE so I don't really have a need for the FE exam, but from my friends in other engineering disciplines (civil and mechanical) who have taken it have said it is passable if you've been out of school for a while, but you'll need to brush up on physics.
It might be worth checking out some of the FE test prep books to see if you'll be able to do it.
