The part number on my existing control is 951.341.149.10 and I can't really find anything matching that. We pulled this off my 87 944S1. I was under the impression that the S1 shared the same suspension setup as the 8v 944.

that's the closest I've found but the part# is still different and it says it's for the S2 even though it lists years as 85-88.
Could somebody shed some light on this for me please or just part#s in general if they are like vins where certain digits stand for certain things.
