Fell off a ladder when building this house. Broke leg in 2 places and ripped foot loose from leg. Foot just flopped around. By myself.....Drug myself across floor, fainted for awhile. Pulled myself into chair. Cell phone out in truck......Felt better after about 10-15 minutes. Got up and hopped on one foot across the room where a 1x4 board was that would work for a crutch.....Had parked 100 ft. from house due to snow/mud. Somehow made it thanks to the 1x4 board.

Made it to the truck and started driving the 90 miles home. Foot wouldn't work to use the brake, used emerg brake.......Called wife and said to have her car & crutches out to take me to the hospital. Was a long day.......Worst pain ever.

Could have called 911 once I was to my truck, but they would have taken me 25 miles the opposite direction to the nearest hospital. Easier to just drive home once I got moving.....
