I'd like a bike with the pedal position and handlebars of my Shadow, and the engine, windshield, and storage of the ST1100.

Does such a beast exist?

Yes, I know there is a four-cylinder Gold Wing, but that's bigger than I'm looking.
Try a BMW sometime. I ride a R1100RS which is a bit sporty but if I throw the bags on it has loads of room. The R1100RT is more of a sit up type bike but with even more storage and still a hell of a lot sportier than much of the competition.

BTW, smooth as can be, I used to ride 1000 miles a day on mine and was not that tired. Having a good (Corbin) seat helps a lot.
