Most home improvement salespersons get 10% of the gross. Sometimes on high dollar items they get less. I'd say no lower than 8%. There can be bonuses for achieving monetary levels.

Some folks sell blinds and they might sell 2-3 orders a day. A solar guy might sell 1-2 a month, so it all works out.
