When I worked at a place the federalized grey market Mercedes with CIS in 1982...
along with the aftermarket lambda crap we installed we leaned out the 3mm CO screw as far as posible while it would still idle, disconnected the cold start valve, and disconnected and plugged 2 or 3 injectors lines so those cylinders only pumped air and that mixed into the exhaust to help them pass.
