Since I have been going to auctions somebody is always complaining about some idiot overpaying for stuff...I do notice that people are not very friendly towards me and glare a lot...
I watch a lot of Spoon auctions...at a recent auction up in MN..a dealer paid $5000 for a new production Winchester Mdl 42 NIB....he could have gone to Conitticut Valley Shotguns and paid $2900. At the same auction I bought a High Standard Supermatic in 98& condition for $310 delivered. At the same auction I bought the reloading stuff 2 High Standard Victors went for a $1000 each plus commmish...while in SF several weeks ago you could of bought 5 early HS for $1500..cond being equal and desirabilty being actually higher for the early spoons.
This weekend someone paid $100 for a Tipton Gun Vise....U could buy the same Vise new at Midway for $50.00?????
This last week a Itacha 20GA Classic 4E went for $4520,00 while Conitticut Valley Shotguns has the same shotgun for $6K
