That said, I fully appreciate quality daily use tools (I own lots of SnapOn and Mac wrenches, sockets, ratchets etc), but there are several good buys at HF for the home DIY type who cannot justify spending $10,000 + on a decent heavy duty industrial grade band saw.

True the Jet has little better fit & finish parts are easier to track down.
I have never had any problems with it. Cutting with coolant the blades really last cutting mild steel. I cut a bunch of 4'' .250 wall tubing and 3''sch 80 pipe with it.
I have built parts with it that I could not have cut with a chop saw. I do also have a 40 Amp plasma / Thermal Dynamics for plate.
