I worked a few years for a large organization that allowed co-workers to donate their vacation to people to supplement their sick leave when they had a serious condition.
One person got alot of co-worker vacation donated, then it was discovered that the illness was feigned and that person was ordered back to work immediately. Several months of donated vacation time was unused and the organization took it away. Away. Did not return the unused portion. Took it!!!
Really was careful not to donate to people I didn't know personally after that...
