I filled up my truck yesterday with 23 gallons of diesel at $2.89/gal. This was at a truck stop on my way home from picking the teuck up. I think that's the same price as 89 octane at a station closer to my house.
Tim's math looks good. One more thought - you know how people are gaga over E85, especially around here? It's usually cheaper than 89 octane, but then they lose 20-30% of the mileage! I laugh when I drive by and see the poor fools pumping it.
