What I was trying to say was how about this motor vehicle dealer buying this car for (I assume) $50,000 AUS and then a few weeks later advertising it for $85,000 AUS.

I also wonder how the original selling owner of the car would feel if they knew what had become of the vehicle. Once again I must assume they are unaware they sold it to someone who then simply bumped it up $35,000 AUS (the car has had nothing more than a wash for re-sale, incidentally).

Sorry if I caused confusion.

don't think there was any confusion.

and wouldn't we all want that kind of opportunity? I know a lot of people who would love to buy something for 50 and then sell it for 85 after a small cleaning.

The guy that sold it for 50 might be kicking himself for selling low, but hopefully he is merely happy for getting 50 for it. Who knows.
