I watched a 4-volume set of greasy manuals go past what I wanted to pay on Ebay few years ago and checked Pelican - who still showed 3 sets in stock @ $250 each at the time.
They turned up in grey binders, not red - think they were a recent printing - (they'd showed unavailable a few years prior to that IIRC).
I think Porsche would just re-print as needed due to demand. Who knows if that will ever happen again now? Rarity is probably starting to be a factor for these.
