Wow...what a race. I've been to the Indy 500 a ton of times, been to other races, but honestly, this was one of the coolest races I've been to.
Say what you want about NASCAR, but the cars are amazing. So much more louder, guttural, and exciting. I was able to snag tix right on the back straight, before turn 3. The back stretch is nice at Indy, because there is literally only about 10 feet between you and the track. (The front stretch has a "no-man's land" between the track and the bleachers.)
When the pack of cars came screaming down the stretch, 200mph, the rush of wind literally blew me over.
The weather was great, and even though attendance was definitely down, it was an overall great experience.
Now I just need to hit up MotoGP this fall, and I'll get all 3 races in this year!
