Really messed myself up this time. I was playing softball Thursday in a mens league and went sliding into third. The third baseman landed on my ankle as I was sliding and this is the result. It was pretty gruesome looking at the time because it was dislocated and twisted around pretty bad. My sis took some pics but I will leave those out because to tell the truth, I don't even want to see them again. It was very very painful and I came close to losing consciousness from the pain alone. I ended up breaking my lateral and medial maleolli. Basically I snapped my inner and outer ankle bones completely off. This could not have come at a worse time because I was scheduled to move and start a new job Monday Aug 2. The pain is manageable most of the time with the medication I am on, other times nothing touches it. Not really sure how things are going to work out but I am trying to stay positive. Sometimes things happen for a reason and without telling whole story, I was in the beginning stages of a potentially serious relationship with a very special girl. Postponing my move may give us the extra time to cultivate that (even though I am pretty useless at the moment). It may just be all worth it.
