I just shipped/received one recently. Just grab a small pallet, screw a few 2x4's in various places to stabilize it, and then have it banded to the pallet.

Also, you should ship through a freight broker. I use Freight Companies, Freight Shipping Companies, Freight Quote, Shipping Rates - FreightCenter.com. They will save you lots of money!

For example, i shipped an entire 951 front-end conversion. UPS gave me a direct quote over the phone of $441. Freight center quoted me $170 for the same thing THROUGH UPS!

My transaxle from CA to NM was $125, to give you an idea.
