Or course his remark after the race about not having blocked enough if he got passed pretty much convicted him. Sad, really, he retired as one of the best. Now, he will retire in the same vein as other tried-to-comeback drivers.
Lauda comes to mind. And he was originally forced out due to injury, not necessarily old age.
The last decent older driver was Jean Alesi.
