Second, as long as you are getting the truck fixed, you don't care what the dollar estimate is. Take it to the shop where you want it fixed and give them the name of the insurance adjuster. They will get it worked out between them.

Agreed and +1 on not signing the check or a release. As far as small claims court, if you sign the release from the insurance company you likely are releasing them and their insured from any further liability. reason? If you sue her for the difference they have a duty to defend her which would be more costly than the damage to your truck.
