Although tempting, I don't like to fool around with boosted octane levels (i.e.95+) due to the fear I have of self-ignition (i.e. compression of the fuel to a point where it ignites BEFORE the sparkplug fires - i.e. backfire).
The thought of all 6 cylinders firing like a diesel doesn't appeal to me or my wallet......
I have no experience with boosters however so other guys please comment and correct my fears accordingly if possible!
Anyone had good luck with 'boosters'? I have used a Swepco gas improver, 503, which claims to allow fuel to burn more completely and therefore provide a 'boost'. It cleans injectors too. I noticed a diff in my gal's civic, but didn't do much for my 911SC.
