The 10 speaker system have their own door panels (Cards). I have in the past modified door panels to accept the 10 speaker pods. With a hole saw one has to cut out a hole for the back magnet on the 5" woofer - otherwise will not fit (The original 10 speaker door panels have a hole there already). Next, it's hard to find a decent 3" midrange speaker to fit the speaker cassette so I found the next best thing at a 3 1/2" Co-axial speaker. There again I had to modify the speaker cassette to fit the 3 1/2" speaker in it. Next is the wiring problem - as you know the 10 speaker system has a tweeter in the upper front corner of the door panel. The tweeter must be wired off of the plug associated with the speaker cassette because these wires go through the crossover and separate the frequencies high and low for the woofer and tweeter. So now you have to find a 10 speaker door wiring loom to get the wires and the 4 prong plug that plugs to the speaker cassette (Porsche PN/ 944.612.034.05). On this loom find the four prong plug, and find the two wires that go up to the tweeter. Follow/expose the tweeter wires all of the way back to the four prong plug - you will find that the two middle wires coming out of the 4 prong plug are the tweeter wires. Next follow/expose the two outer wires as these are the wires + & - that tie to the main deck/head unit. Leave plenty of these wires to complete your wiring project when you cut them loose from the wiring loom. Now all of these wires you have separated can be used to wire in the 10 speaker panels, and correctly use the crossover. It's nice though if your doors are already wired for this system, as the later cars almost always were - then its just plug-n-play. The speaker cassettes then screw to the door panel under the door pull with screws top and bottom. Next the speaker grill assembly will fit with the six plastic pegs at the top, Same place as the normal door map pockets. Then the normal screws along the bottom of the grill assembly fasten it all down all the way out to the end. --- .10 cents please, thanks.
