IDK...I was in San Antonio in 09 on a business trip and most of what I would call == homes there were in the 800K up range. Got to factor in climate and location...so a simple track home ain't gonna cut it. Admittedly I saw some beautiful places there...from the safety of my AC car...
Edit - I do want to emphasize that there are some incredible properties there - but at the same price as what I would consider a fare exchange for my home here. Sure they have +1K sq/ft and a larger yard but then I have the more favorable climate and no bugs...
