On that subject, there is a water based degreaser that I have been using since 1986 on my motorcycles and cars. I've tried a lot of products along the way and none have been as good...not even close.
Facto AT30 is available from Swish Maintenance.
There is a identical product available from Princess Auto that I just came across the other week. It looks the same, smells the same and feels the same.
Industrial Degreaser...available in a 4 liter jug or a 20 liter pail.
