In fact, the tax savings on what I saved in the first place alone pays for my gas and bridge crossing into the US a couple of times over, so why bother complaining.
What it boils down to is, would you like to pay 13% of $1000 or 13% of $500 in taxes. The tax savings in that example are $65 which more than covers my $20 in gas and $6 for bridge tolls. I'm still waaayyyyyy ahead.
My savings have been 43%. I keep an Excel spreadsheet of my expenditures.
