I'm a CPA and use both programs (Quicken and QuickBooks). The previous posters are correct in saying that Quicken isn't really adequate for tracking a business (unless it's a sole proprietorship). QuickBooks is far superior for tracking businesses. I've been using Quicken for my personal finances for 10 years, and find it useful. I don't do the automatic downloads for my retirement accounts, nor do I use it to pay bills. However, for tracking personal expenses and managing a stock/mutual fund portfolio, it's probably as good as anything out there.
