Mrmerlin - I sent 928 INTL an email but they may not have had the chance to answer yet.

Hey Danglerb - How the spring bar was lost is a good question. Of all the restoration time and money put into Miss Purdy, the brakes were actually found not to be one of the major issues. Since the pads were almost new - all that was needed was a thorough brake line flush and new fluid after the initial purchase. This part may have been unnoticed and missing from the previous owner.

Then again - perhaps my high speed cornering was beyond the expected engineered capabilities of the 928 and it dislodged by centrifugal force.
