Make yourself something. I planted 5 or 6 different kind of peppers, roast them on the grill, an onion, some garlic, maybe grill it in butter or toss in a few of those little orange tomatoes; use this little cast iron job I got for fajitas. Take some cream cheese the grilled/roasted stuff and toss in the food processor. Sun dried tomatoes are good in that too, or a little grated parmesan, whatever sounds good.
You probably are not planting a garden, but you could get some sort of produce maybe. Can of Rotel(chilies and tomato) melted velveeta, maybe some sausauge cooked and shredded up in it. I pour off some of the grease, grease makes things taste goooood. Pretty awesome with tortilla chips. Good for a crock pot.
I like to roast garlic, just toss whole thing you got at the store right on the grill, roast it, squeeze it into a little jar, baby food jar is ideal, squirts out like toothpaste after roasting for an adequate period of time. Very handy to have garlic around...
