"In the hands of a beginner, a 944. To someone who understands the laws of physics and how they relate to driving, and has had time behind the wheel to master its characteristics, the 911"

Thats is flippen funny!!!!

To those that are not sure.....you may as well read what porsche had to say about the 944/951/968 series from 81 to 93........

....and in europe.... during the years that the 944 series was in production 83-93...... no 911 to be seen..........

Autocar - Britain's Best Handling Car
This is perhaps the only award judging according to handling. Each year it choose a dozen of best handling cars, ranging from hot hatches to sports cars and tested them together on tracks and roads to find out the best one.
Comment: Autocar does not bias towards British cars, at least in this contest. But sometimes they missed some good cars due to availablility, so they just called it Britain's Best Handling Car.

2001 Lotus Elise S2
2000 Porsche 911 Turbo
1999 Ferrari 360 Modena
1998 Ferrari 550 Maranello
1997 Ferrari 550 Maranello
1996 Lotus Elise
1995 Lotus Esprit S4S
1994 Porsche 911 Carrera
1993 Porsche 968 CS
1992 Honda NSX
1991 Honda NSX
1990 Mazda MX-5
1989 Porsche 944 S2
sorry ..oooppss cut of the other segments with the 944S, 951 and 83' 944............

In the end.... the price tag does not make a better handling car ............
