Yes, it still works. It's the kind Grady was talking about with the electromagnet that rewinds itself. I can't remember exactly what I did at the time, but from what I could figure out the clock took a max of 3 amps. So I figured if I soldered the points together & put an inline 3 amp fuse, it should work out OK. If not I can always replace it with a quartz clock.
