I have oil seeping out of the front crank seal which has been replaced along with the oil pump drive sleeve two or three times now. Unfortunately the problem hasn't gone away and I'm getting sick and tired of having to disassemble all the t-belts and other junk to get at it, clean the entire engine, etc. only to have it pee oil again. I suspect that there's a score or deformity or other problem with the race in which the front seal sits (and yes, I've tried it with and without sealant also). This time around I'm considering replacing the entire front oil pump assembly (I've got a couple of spares) along with the seals and drive sleeve.

Has anyone done this? I'll check Clarks but I'm just wondering how exhaustive of a job it is. Other than this, my car is 100% leak-free, making it all the more annoying. Unacceptable!
