I don't ever see the general 944 population going up appreciably.

Like you, I feel that far too many of them were made for that but I was wondering if people are seeing an increase in the price delta between the nicer examples and the more average condition cars.

I would however assume that any such delta would be mitigated by the turbo population to a great extent. Still just wondering.

For me the 944 (compared to other Porsches) is proving to be a great daily driver. Still an attractive look, good gas mileage, reliable, cheap parts and easy maintenance and enough room to hold a bike inside.....
