matter of fact, some "show bikes" that you see are gutted...very few internal parts (missing pistons, rods, starter, transmission components, etc...). why leave them in if you're only going to push the bike around? leave 'em out...it's lighter!

If the bikes don't even have to run (or meet any other obvious criteria of a motorcycle such as turn, stop, be ridden and hold together), then the 'creativity' exercise reminds me of my kindergarden class; "Timmy, that's a beautiful ashtray. Here's your 'Participant' award."

Only difference is these guys can bend tubing, weld and paint too. Someone should make one of these show bikes out of solid chocolate. About 85% cocoa would be perfect. Or just enter a beautiful painting of a motorcycle.
