Engine with most bang for the buck....
What would be the best engine to build (best bang for the buck)?
The use of the engine would be DE / track work.
I want 300 HP or more and I want reliability.
I have a 1983 factory stock 930 engine to start with.
The engine will be going in a fully prepared 914-6 track car.
Should I leave the engine stock and keep it a turbo or should I build it into something normally aspirated?
What weak spots (other than the connecting rod bolts and head studs) are there to address?
I know this is kind of an open ended question and difficult to answer, but I would like to see other peoples opinions to compare them with my own.
Thanks for taking the time.
