Bill, I found myself in need of somewhere to stash random stuff, especially with my interior. Given that the radio slot is DIN sized, I figured I'd try to fit a DIN sized replacement that a lot of car manufacturers fit to their lower spec models that don't come with radios.
In my case, I managed to make a cubby from my old VW Golf fit. Takes a little bit of cutting and trimming, but it fits very snug. While it doesn't have the rubber mat that OEM Porsche storage compartments come with, the fabric/velour material is pretty adept at keeping stuff from flying out under acceleration.
