I'm hoping to keep this one in Canada, since I've already done the hard work with the importing and paid the government the duties etc. Buy your own modern collectible, the 1992 911 Turbo.
I am the second owner of this 911 Turbo. It has almost 121,000 miles on it and runs like a top. It does not smoke on start-up (and because I drive it regularly) it doesn't leak either. AirCare valid until 2012. 5,000 miles on a new clutch, new RMS, new belts, sound pad. 6,000 miles on new Bilstein HD shocks, and H&R springs. Aligned and corner balanced with performance in mind. G50-52 transmission is one of the best Porsche has ever fitted to their cars.
The ultimate selling point is that the 1992 911 Turbo was manufactured in such low quantities that ICBC allows it to be licensed as a Collectors Vehicle. Mine already has Collectors Plates, which means that it is cheap to insure (about $110 per month), and will never have to go through AirCare again. Porsche Certificate of Authenticity comes with the car.
Excellence Magazine lists pricing for these rare cars is from $38,100 to $50,900 USD. I am asking quite a reasonable $42,500 CDN.
