O.k., not to toot my own horn, but what Craig told us about this show some time ago is absolutely true. It is so awash in Lambo and Ferrari garage queens that any sort of "real" car - one that is obviously driven - attracts a lot of attention. That, and there simply are no "old" cars there to speak of. There was Craig's car, mine, a really nice '64 Goat, a GT40 replica, and an old Alfa coupe (Guilietta? Ginetta? (spelling?)) SOVREN race car. The rest were showroom new, showroon clean, cookie cutter copies of one another. I never thought one could get "bored" looking at Italian exotics, but they really do all start to look the same after awhile. The way the crowds gathered around the old iron as they were pulling in was pretty darn gratifying. They were obviously ready for anything different, even an old hooligan track rat like mine. Or Craig's.
