In Georgia when you get a ticket you pay up at the probate court. If you want to fight it then you go to court and hear it with the superior court judge. I have gotten off, as a local, by pleading my case with the ladies at probate who will then ask the probate judge who has the power to do what he wants. What they usually do, if you have any kind of leg to stand on, is lower the speed to the lowest points but you still pay a fine at the most points. No points, big check. I'll take that option. Some call it fixing a ticket. I call it common sense.

However...at least here in the south....if you go in with your hair on fire, you will get nothing but everything you don't want. So, be nice. And, good luck.
