The reason I decided to replace the original anemic horns was that I was driving in a parking lot one day in my 911 and saw two parked cars across from each other both start backing up at the same time. Neither appeared to see the other. I immediately started honking the horn. It was actually kinda embarrassing. I think I've heard louder horns on bicycles.
Sadly neither car heard my little pissy horns and they ended up backing into each other.
I decided then that, for the good of all mankind, I needed to replace the horns.
