The price seems fair for the miles, and you should negotiate an extended warranty with the dealer -- at cost.
Keep in mind, we have a buttload of higher-mileage '97-99 Boxsters out here in CA right around $10K. They are more common here, so the prices are lower than the price + airfare. You can use that as a bargaining point with your local dealer, too.
Having owned a couple of Boxsters, I'd nudge you toward the 2.7 model (2000+) from a drivability standpoint.
