Wheels Question?
OK, the DE bug has got me. Been hunting for some new shoes for the 85 Carrera, and I've found a really decent deal on a set of 17" 993 replicas [I know, Fuchs are lighter]. The specs are: Fronts - 17x7.5 with 23mm offset with 205/50/17 , the rears are 17x9 with 15mm offset with 255/40/17. All Kumhos.
Useage is 75% street, 25% DE.
These are a bit bigger all round than the 16 X 7 & 8 that I was after. Question is...will they fit an 85 non-turbo without rubbing?? Rolled front fenders is a given!
Anyone running these sizes on a carrera/SC body at Euro ride height?
I'm also wondering if these sizes have a downside for handling - aside from the obvious increase in unsprung weight. There are sure to be a bunch of gotchas I don't know about, right?
