I read of a punishment in a novel a long time ago...
Amputate left leg above knee. Treat the wound. When healed,
Amputate right leg above knee. Treat the wound. When healed,
Amputate left arm above elbow. Treat the wound. When healed,
Amputate right arm above elbow. Treat the wound.
Brutal, but seems fitting.
