No, a friend painted it for me in his booth. He was the inspiration for me to paint my own. He said that he new I could do it because I was so anal retentive about everything on my car. I did all of the other work on the Ghia, interior, motor, custom top... I am currently slaving away in the garage putting the 914 back together. I'm very systematic about it, I start at the back and start the reassembly, the last thing to go in will be the motor! I purchased the 914 in the spring and hope to have it done by the end of the year. I don't understand why it takes some people 3 years to finish a car. My Ghia took a year, the 914 will take less time. I am very hyper and single minded, plus I have a very understanding wife.
