Another cause could be from flushing the brakes. If the fluid level goes below the clutch feed in the brake reservoir you can get air in the line. Did this some months ago when I flushed a new to us ‘91’s brake system. Was going to do the clutch too so no problem. BTW I’ve seen very few hydro clutches that didn’t need flushing. Even on cars that appear to have been maintained well.
