You folks always complain about the weight of the modern cars, and how they are all bloated, and you would pay for a smaller, lighter car closer to the olden goldies in weight...
The 1 series is exactly that, it's by default lighter then the 3...
So i would gather the 1M would be lighter then the M3.. which kinda explains how the regular 135I already gave the M3 a run for it's money... a souped up 1 M could really give it whoopass...
I'm just dissapointed they made the 1 M a coupe, and not the hatch, which just looks a lot better then the coupe.
The 1 Coupe just looks like a baby 3 series, while the (sports) hatch is something "different".
The 1 series has a very good layout/chassis, think "modern day 944"...
i went from a 1988 944S to a 2008 118D, the S was more raw in power, but handling wise, very comparable, the 1 handled better , arguably because it was 20 years newer too
I pull al sorts of crap in my 118D, it has loads of grip, and it behaves so well when you push it beyond it's grip...
