It's a terrible market right now, even for longhoods. And what the market is after is originality - that's what's bringing the big $$s right now. And, unfortunately, that's not what you've got. You've got a less-than-desirable motor (quite possible the worst air-cooled 911 motor Porsche ever made), and the cosmetic updates will detract from most people's view of the car. The black trim and painted headlight surrounds really look out of place on a longhood, IMO. The upshot is that those are pretty easy and inexpensive fixes. Well, the headlight surrounds are - I'm not sure what it would cost to redo the trim in chrome. Might be expensive. The newer seats might actually be a plus to some people (myself included). They're an easy swap to return to period-correct, if someone so desires.

I know this sounds harsh, but it's the reality of the situation. It sounds like you've put a lot of work and money into the car to get it where you want it - why sell it now? Why not drive it and enjoy it? Particularly at least until the market has recovered somewhat.
